During summer a decompression chamber was transported from Australia to St. Petersburg in Russia, a major difference in climates. The device, with its sensitive electronic equipment, valves and gaskets has had problems in the past with corrosion, especially during storage in cold, wet climates.
The chamber was protected with INTERCEPT Shrink™ film, ensuring constant protection against corrosive agents. A window was set into the shrink film allowing easy access to the inside of the chamber in order to change out the desiccants, which absorb humidity inside the chamber. With an added layer of Power Shrink film for physical and UV protection, the chamber can be safely stored even outdoors in the harshest of climates.
