A manufacturer of water treatment equipment based in Yixing City, Jiangsu applied INTERCEPT Shrink Wrap for protection against corrosion for the export of their products to Japan and Israel. The used Intercept film is a 200µm INTERCEPT Shrink Film. The used method utilizes one layer of film. In general this is sufficient for sea transport. For a long-term application of over one year two layers of film are recommended whereby the second layer is general Power Shrink Film.

Two layers are also necessary if INTERCEPT is used for sea transport and a storage on board open deck. A storage with INTERCEPT Shrink Wrap is suitable for outdoor storage over one year up to 10+ years.

Rust stains and corrosion spots appeared on the water treatment equipment body surface during sea shipment. By applying INTERCEPT the original condition of the equipment could be preserved, corrosion did not occur while also a protection against the environments during potential storage time after arrival was provided. Especially this can be essential because very often equipment is sent out to sites but cannot build in and therefore is stored outside sometimes for months until it is finally assembled.
