The INTERCEPT Technology is also part of the rail industry. Locomotives around the world operate on a metal based technology. The various parts inside locomotives consisting of gears and other transmission parts are mainly made of metals. These parts need often to be replaced or serviced. In order to provide a proper maintenance these parts have to be transported or stored on site for the purpose of maintenance or for emergency repairs. To guarantee proper function and longevity after replacements pasts must be protected from corrosion during storage and transportation so that locomotives can be operated safely.
